Laurel (hoja larga)

Is traditionally used as a condiment, an anti-spasmodic, for general stomach problems, indigestion, helps heal wounds, lowers blood glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides and for heart disease. Use 1/2 to 1 tsp. per cup (3-4 leaves per cup of previously boiled water and steep).
